Arcora

Terms of Service

Last updated October 22, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Rootr Software LLC ("Rootr", "we"), the company that operates Arcora, for using the Arcora app and website (together, "Arcora"). By creating an account or using Arcora, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you register a charging network on Arcora, separate operator terms also apply.

1. What Arcora is

Arcora is an app that lets you find, start, pay for and stop sessions at electric vehicle chargers run by independent charging networks ("networks"). Each network owns or operates its chargers, sets its prices and provides the charging. Arcora provides the app, your account and payment processing; it does not own or operate chargers.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract to create an account.
  • Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity on your account; tell us promptly at support@rootrsoftware.com if you think someone else has used it.
  • One person per account. Accounts can't be transferred.

3. Charging sessions

  • Before you start, the app shows the network's price and Arcora's service fee for that session.
  • The amount you pay is the network's price applied to the energy the charger measures and reports for your session, plus any fees shown before you started.
  • To make sure a session can be paid for, we may place a temporary authorization hold on your card when it starts. The hold is released or adjusted to the final amount when the session ends.
  • A session ends when you stop it in the app, when your vehicle stops charging, or when the charger ends it, for example because of a fault. You pay for the energy delivered up to that point.
  • Receipts for your sessions are available in the app.

4. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. By adding a card, you authorize Arcora to charge it for sessions you start and the fees shown before you start them, and you agree to Stripe's terms for that processing. The network is the seller of the charging; Arcora collects payment on its behalf and keeps its service fee. If a payment fails, we may ask you to update your card before you can start another session.

5. Problems, refunds and disputes

If a session was charged incorrectly or a charger didn't work as expected, contact us at support@rootrsoftware.com within 60 days with the receipt details. We will work with the network to look into it and issue a refund where one is due. Please contact us before disputing a charge with your card issuer so we can try to resolve it first.

6. Using chargers safely

  • Follow the instructions on the charger and from your vehicle's manufacturer.
  • Make sure your vehicle and connector are compatible before you start.
  • Don't use a charger that looks damaged; report it to the network or to us.
  • Follow the site's parking rules and move your vehicle when you finish.

7. Availability and accuracy

Charger locations, availability, status and prices come from the networks and can change without notice. Chargers may be offline, occupied or out of service. We work to keep Arcora running, but we don't guarantee that the app, any network or any charger will be available or error-free at any particular time.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Arcora for anything unlawful, or to start sessions you don't intend to pay for;
  • use someone else's account or card without permission;
  • interfere with, damage, or try to gain unauthorized access to chargers, networks or Arcora;
  • copy, scrape, reverse engineer or resell the app or its data, except as the law allows.

9. The app and its content

Arcora grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for its intended purpose while these terms apply. Arcora, its name and its design belong toRootr Software LLC; network names and marks belong to their owners.

10. Third-party services

Arcora relies on services we don't control, including the networks, Stripe, Clerk, map providers and your device's app store. Their terms and policies apply to your use of them, and we aren't responsible for them.

11. Disclaimers

Except as these terms say otherwise, Arcora is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. The networks, not Arcora, are responsible for their chargers and the charging they provide.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, Rootr Software LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to Arcora is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid through Arcora in the 12 months before the claim, or $100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

13. Indemnity

You agree to cover Rootr Software LLC's reasonable losses and costs from claims arising out of your misuse of Arcora or a charger, or your breach of these terms.

14. Ending these terms

You can stop using Arcora and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you breach these terms, if required by law, or to protect users, networks or Arcora. Amounts owed for completed sessions remain payable.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of [State], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, please contact us at support@rootrsoftware.com so we can try to resolve it informally.

16. Changes

We may update these terms. If changes are material, we'll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Arcora after that means you accept the updated terms.
